Today’s signing of prolific Ajax striker Luís Suarez, at a reported fee of €26.5M, is a good move and one of those “silly” rumours we hoped would bear fruit. The pairing of Suarez with ’nando up top has the makings of a fearsome attacking force that few other PL sides can match.

All we need now is a Xabi Alonso-clone for the defensive midfield, and one or two really good defenders, and we’re off! Right?
